Preserving the Flame of the Sette Comuni
An Unbroken Consciousness:
Our heritage is a living, breathing culture. This continuous historical memory was highlighted in 1709 when King Frederick IV of Denmark visited the plateau and was formally greeted by the local population as their ancestral king.
Active Community Institutional Engagement:
Today, our family remains actively involved with the Federazione dei Cimbri dei Sette Comuni. We proudly participate in regional preservation efforts alongside cultural leaders like President Cav. Francesco Rodeghiero, honoring the historic freedom of our people—such as the brave highlanders who revolted against invading Napoleonic forces in 1809. From attending holy masses celebrated entirely in our ancient Cimbro tongue to preserving centuries-old family documents, we stand as protectors of a timeless European legacy.
Language and Identity:
The unique identity of the Alberti family is not a relic of the past; it is a living tradition. Our ancestors spoke Cimbro, an ancient Germanic language preserved for centuries through geographic isolation on the plateau. Today, we actively champion the language, customs, and folklore that define the historical Sette Comuni.
The Global Diaspora:
From the mountains of Vicenza and the community of Foza to vibrant branches in Brazil and the United States, the Alberti diaspora remains tightly bound. Through cultural preservation societies, global communication networks, and active membership in the Cimbri Federation, we ensure that the unyielding spirit and distinct legacy of our ancestors endure for generations to come.
